Emulate nature.
J L "Buddy" Lewis, Proprietor of Rock Garden, is a geologist with an engineering background who has been in the stone business since the 1980s. He grew up in the Appalachians with a lifelong passion for collecting stone, and that followed him into the field of geology. He still works it the same way he started after his graduation: he hand-picks the stone himself at quarries across the United States, and oversees every delivery from start to finish.

Picked at the quarry, stacked on the yard, and loaded out for your job.
He reads stone for a living — how it breaks, how it stacks, how it sheds water, and how it will look wet and weathered in ten years. That is what gets applied when you tell him what you are building.
Call about a jobThe stone is hand-picked at quarries across the United States, and every delivery is overseen from start to finish. The stone you were told about is the stone that arrives.
See what we carryYou can commission Rock Garden to design a garden, a stone feature or a landscape. The goal is simple: emulate nature. Stone set the way it sits in the ground on its own, so the work looks found rather than installed.
Landscape design is available when time permits, at additional cost. Ask about it when you call and we will tell you honestly whether it fits what you have in mind.

Aquascape, swim pool, hardscape or accent work — and roughly where it is going. A photo helps more than a description.
Stone type, size and the quantity it takes to cover the job, so you are not short on the last course or paying for a pile left over.
Load it yourself, or ask about delivery. Stone can be delivered upon request — call or use the inquiry form and we will arrange it for your order.
Runs on stone are normal. Call when you are short and we will tell you what is on the yard.
