Rock Garden
Areas we serve

Everything we
carry stone for.

Six areas, one yard. Aquascape and natural swim pool stone, hardscape and landscape accent stone — sold the same way to a crew ordering a truckload and to someone picking out a single boulder for a bed.

Aquascapes

Stone for ponds, streams and water features.

Ledge stone for the falls and the stream walls, cobble for the pond bottom and the planted edge. Chosen for how it stacks, how it sheds water, and how it ages once it is wet.

  • Waterfall ledge
  • Stream and pond walls
  • Cobble and pebble
  • Planted edges

We supply the stone that goes into and around the water — edging, rockwork and planting edges.

Natural swim pools

Stone-lined natural pools and water features for a garden.

Stone for natural swimming pools and water features — stone edging around the water, rockwork at the banks and plantings that soften the join. We supply the stone that goes into and around the water.

  • Stone edging and coping
  • Rockwork at the banks
  • Boulder and ledge
  • Planting edges

Hardscapes

Stone for patios, walkways, retaining walls and stone steps.

Thin ledge stone for dry-stacked walls, flagstone for patios and walks, blocky rock for retaining and grade. What a hardscape is built out of is what it is ten years from now.

  • Wall ledge and facing
  • Flagstone patios and walks
  • Retaining block
  • Stone steps

Landscape accents

Decorative boulders, river rock, gravel and flagstone for beds and borders.

Boulders for a focal point or a natural seat, crushed granite for paths and bed cover, mixed stone for dry creeks and drainage swales. Small materials, large effect.

For businesses, landscapers and contractors

Stone by the job, by the ton, loaded and out.

Landscapers, hardscape crews, pond and water-feature installers. Volume stone ordered the way you work, with one supplier who can cover the ledge, the flag and the gravel for the same job instead of three.

  • Loads for installers
  • Ordered by the job or the ton
  • One yard, all three materials
  • Delivery upon request

For homeowners

Pieces and loads for a yard you are building yourself.

A boulder for the corner of a bed, gravel for a path, stone for a pond you are putting in yourself. You do not need to know the names of the materials — bring a photo or a rough idea and we will work it out together.

  • Single pieces and small loads
  • Help choosing the material
  • Flagstone and steppers
  • Delivery upon request

Photographs show the kind of stone and the kind of setting it goes into. Color, veining and size vary from piece to piece and load to load — ask and we will tell you what is on the yard.

Commission a design

You can commission
the design too.

Emulate nature.

Beyond supplying the stone, Rock Garden can be commissioned to design a garden, a stone feature or a landscape. The aim is to emulate nature: stone set the way it sits in the ground on its own, planting brought up to the joins, and nothing that reads as a hard edge until you look for one.

Landscape design is available when time permits, at additional cost. There are no packages and no promised schedule — call and we will tell you plainly whether it is a fit.

Featured offering

Natural
swim pools.

Stone for natural swimming pools and water features in a garden — stone edging around the water, rockwork where the bank falls to the water, and stone chosen so planting can be brought right up to the join.

We sell the stone that goes into and around the water. If you are planning the rest of the pool, tell us what the build needs and we will tell you what we can supply for it.
